John Murray: Counsellor and co-creator of mxn Men's Therapy Network, John understands that asking for help is a challenge for many men and approaches his work with clients with this in mind. Whilst he has many years experience of working with both men and women, more recently his focus has been on working with men as he sees a need for experienced practitioners in this area. John started his career supporting others working within Disability and Mental Health support services, beginning his counselling career in 2003, working in inner city schools and colleges in the UK. He later moved into Addiction and Trauma Counselling and Supervision work, where he supports others in their clinical practice. After moving to North America he devoted his energy to working with the unhoused population in Los Angeles, Hamilton, ON and Victoria.
John also manages a private practice offering Walk & Talk counselling in and around the southern tip of this beautiful island. In his spare time he enjoys hiking with his dog, designing and creating, swimming and yoga.

Stefania Evangelista: Stefania understands that life’s challenges can often feel isolating and overwhelming, leaving individuals in need of support. She is dedicated to creating a compassionate, safe, and neutral environment where individuals can explore their feelings without judgment. By slowing down the pace of life, Stefania emphasizes the importance of mindfulness, allowing individuals to reflect on their experiences and emotions with meaningful intention.
Her empathetic, person-centered approach involves actively listening and adapting her techniques to suit the unique needs of each individual. Stefania values the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative journey, encouraging individuals to share their stories at their own pace. She believes that taking the time to understand one's experience is essential for personal growth and healing.
Outside of her professional life, you can often find her immersed in the flora and fauna of the natural world, appreciating its beauty and tranquility. This connection to nature informs her therapeutic practice, reminding her of the importance of slowing down and being present in the moment.
Stefania looks forward to supporting those who seek her guidance, helping them build a foundation of safety and trust that allows for genuine self-exploration and healing.

Mark Busby: Mark is a caring, person-oriented, collaborative counsellor who believes the therapeutic relationship is the most fruitful part of counselling. Earning a master’s degree in education from the University of Worcester, UK, Mark has continued his education in Canada, gaining a Diploma in Professional Counselling and completing seven years of training as an Existential Analyst.
